We offer Independent Professional Parent Advocacy services to parents navigating the child protection system who are living in Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Bridgend.
Parent Advocacy is a service designed to achieve two primary objectives: reducing the number of children placed in the care system and keeping families together. This service empowers parents by giving them a voice and choice in navigating the child protection system, ensuring their active participation in decision-making processes.
Our Parent Advocacy Service is free for parents with children under the age of 18 involved in the child protection arena.
Our Parent Advocates work exclusively under the instruction of parents, valuing their choices and respecting their autonomy.
A Parent Advocate will never offer advice nor take action without the parent’s consent. Parent Advocates will never make decisions on behalf of parents. We are here to support parents through the child protection process, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are advocated for.
