    The Ceredigion Safe Stars are a Junior Local Safeguarding Children’s Board representing children and young people across the county. We aim to promote and raise awareness of keeping children and young people safe, ensuring they are supported and that their rights are upheld. We also work to ensure that children and young people’s voices are heard, that they are being listened to and are included in decision-making processes that affect them at a local level.

    As a group, we have the opportunity to feed into the Mid and West Wales Junior Safeguarding Board (CADW) who then feed into the Regional Safeguarding board for Mid and West Wales (CYSUR). You can find more information about this here.

    As you can see, we are serious about keeping children and young people safe but we also know how to have fun too ☺

    Here at Safe Stars we respect the rights of children and young people. This Safe Stars ambassador has the right to stay anonymous or ‘incognito’. They would like to highlight the importance of being ‘incognito’ online in order to stay safe.

    Hopi – Ceredigion Junior Safeguarding Board member

    Hopi is a member the Ceredigion Junior Safeguarding Board, Safe Stars. Hopi, alongside her Safe Stars colleagues, create and produce innovative and exciting projects that raise awareness of keeping children and young people safe across the county of Ceredigion. The group then feed into the Regional Safeguarding Board (CADW) who work to safeguard children and young people across the whole of Mid and West Wales. Some very important work ☺ 

    “I love to Cosplay and my favourite is Kirishima, an anime character. I also like to dance, especially in my kitchen. I like making people smile to brighten up their day.”
