This was a Fashion Show created by young people to promote individuality and keeping children and young people safe. The theme was Incognito – avoiding peer pressure, designer labels and makes to fit in. The young people sourced clothes from local charity shops and upcycled their outfits creatively to walk down the cat walk.
There was a short film played to introduce the project and during the interval the safeguarding rap was shown and a poem written in the words of the young people was read out. The show was played out to a packed audience of children, young people and adults including Sally Holland, the Children’s Commissioner who introduced the show and Jackie Murphy, CEO TGP Cymru who closed the show.
It was an amazing event and the young people were inspirational.
