On 30th September, the Restorative Approaches Family Group Meeting team hosted a special Afternoon Tea with TGP event where they screened for the first time their brand new animated film. The short, produced by our partners at UGD, is an introduction for young people and families to the concept of a Family Group Meeting.
The video went over well at the event, which was attended by families the Family Group Meeting team have worked with, along with special guests Chief Social Care Officer for Wales Albert Heaney CBE and Member of the Senedd Sarah Murphy MS.
To show their appreciation for the contributions made by the Family Group Meeting team, the families who benefited from the service presented members of the team with gifts after the film was shown.
The event also marked only the second time some much of the Family Group Meeting team have been together in person – some meeting for the very first time. The team, who have worked with 1695 families across the whole of Wales, rarely have an opportunity to meet in person as they work across the country.
Not only were the team members celebrating the launch of their new animated film and admiring the valuable work they have done over the years, but the event also served as a much-appreciated opportunity for the team to connect in person.
